Family Physician Urgent Telephone Advice
Billing code 14018
FP Urgent telephone advice from a specialist or fp with consultative expertise
14018 is payment for telephone advice that is needed on an urgent basis (within 2 hours of request) from a Specialist or Family Physician with Consultative Expertise (as defined in the Preamble). Includes the creation, documentation, and implementation of a plan for the care of patients with acute needs (i.e. requiring attention within the next 24 hours) and communication of that plan to the patient or patient's representative.

For physicians enrolled in the LFP Payment Schedule conferencing, consulting, and meeting with other physicians and/or other health professionals for a specific patient(s) is an eligible Indirect Patient Care (98011) activity. Billing code 19930
Each unit is 15 minutes. Up to three units (45 minute phone call) per day.

The WorkSafeBC RACE Line is a WorkSafeBC service; only WorkSafeBC should be billed.
Physicians can only bill if they have a patient with a claim or a patient for whom they will be reporting a claim.
